Why can Starshipit not update Shopify orders when using the Retail Express Connector?

When you use Starshipit the order is sent through by the native Starshipit App and is then ready to be printed and sent. After being sent it wants to update Shopify as fulfilled.  


Starshipit tries to mark the orders as "shipped" but this is refused as Retail Express is in charge of fulfilment.

It leaves the orders in this "Partial" status. Starshipit also adds a TAG SHIPPED to the order WE can pick this up and send it to our program to work on Retail Express to complete a shipment. You need to turn on “Write fulfilment data to Shopify”

Now the tag is added we can pick it up send it to Retail Express and do the fulfilment

Once fulfilled Retail Express will go back and mark the Shopify order as shipped.


Now our Trackhound application is able to copy the tracking information and get these details downstream.
