Why can we add disabled products to invoices in Rex POS but not through the Connector?

 

  1. We have this disabled/hidden so our staff don’t use it so would like to work out a way for the connector to add disabled products if possible?

 


So the business requirement is for this not to be as easily available at POS?

 

From my investigation, it looks like the item is marked as disabled in Retail Express. The connector cannot find this item as a result and is failing to send the order through. Once this product is re-enabled the connector will be able to send it through, looking at our logs the syncs are able to see the order.

 


ANSWER


Disabled products will only show for Purchase Orders and when you search for them in the back office of Retail Express.

The only time it will appear in POS is if you scan the products barcode.

If you would like to have this product on the web, you can utilize the web price field to show the price for online and then make the POS price really large so staff know not to sell this product in POS.


eg You could set the POS price to be $10000 and the Web Override to your internal price. There may be other ways as well.
