Creating the Retail Express Voucher Product
The following instructions to the client outline how to create a Voucher Product.
Creating a Voucher Product in Retail Express is similar to the normal creation of a product, with the following changes:
The cost and prices for the product can remain at 0. Retail Express allows the value for the Gift Voucher to be dynamically assigned when it is created.
Under the Advanced Options section for the product, tick the “Product is a Voucher” option. This will automatically tick the “Prevent Disabling” option.
Export to Web does not need to be ticked, in fact it is preferred to have this option unticked as this will prevent the gift voucher product from being created in the eCommerce store. However, a Source Group will still need to be assigned to the product.
Only one Voucher Product needs to be created in Retail Express for our functionality.
Once you have made the Voucher Product, you will need to send us the Product ID which is generated by Retail Express. You will enter this into the Yotpo Platform Settings for you.
When this has been done we can create Coupons for you.
